Caped Crusader: Katy Perry Goes Regal At UNICEF Snowflake Ball

Katy Perry, what are you wearing? *Scratches head*. The singer was named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador on Tuesday, and frocked up for the organisation's ninth annual Snowflake Ball at Cipriani Wall Street in New York later that evening.

She donned a very regal-looking red velvet halter neck dress paired with an even more regal-style cape. Queen Elizabeth would surely approve.

Her jet-black hair was curled and parted to the side, while she worked russet-toned makeup to complement her dress.

According to the Daily Mail, Katy said of her new role: "I believe young people have the power to change their own lives, with our help.

"I am honoured to join UNICEF as a Goodwill Ambassador, and committed to doing everything I can to help children and adolescents who come from such different backgrounds but want the same thing: a brighter future."

And hopefully the cape will bring her extra super-powers to do just that.
