Carol Vorderman's 'Sex Tape' Tweets Were Actually Just Part Of A 'Safeword' Prank (Phew!)

She's setting the record straight after a series of unusual tweets appeared on her page.

Carol Vorderman raised eyebrows yesterday (31 March), when a string of explicit posts began appearing on her Twitter page.

We were just innocently going about our business on Thursday afternoon, when we were suddenly flabbergasted by an announcement from Carol, teasing that some very dodgy headlines would be coming soon.

She wrote: “Hey guys, just want to let you know, there might be a story in tomorrow’s papers about me #regretfrommyyouth #vhs #betamax?”

Another crude tweet, which has since been deleted, read: “Is it illegal for someone to release private videos of you from your past? @robkardashian #hairypast #XXX #bringbackbush

"I want to release it before the papers do. You’re going to see my ‘Consonant Vowel Consonant Consonant’ #TwofromtheTopOnefromthebottom.”

A Vorders sex tape? Seriously!?

Well, it turns out no, not seriously at all, and the tweets actually appeared as part of a prank for Carol’s forthcoming appearance on the ITV2 panel show ‘Safeword’.

She insisted:

The last series of ‘Safeword’ got mixed reviews when it aired last year, not least from one of its guests, Sinitta, who branded it “vile” and admitted she “wished she’d walked out” during the taping.

While filming the show, several crass tweets appeared on Sinitta’s Twitter page too alluding to her past relationship with Brad Pitt, and making some pretty crude remarks about his manhood being “smooth as a baby’s arm”.

Other joke tweets poked fun at ‘X Factor’ judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, though she did not see the funny side, claiming she “hated everything about the show”.
