The terrifying moment a couple allowed their baby to crawl on the edge of 1,900 ft cliff was captured on camera by a shocked hiker.
Fred Sirevag was enjoying the Norwegian scenery when he stumbled across this family taking photos at the picturesque Preikestolen – known as Pulpit Rock.
But when he looked closer, Fred was horrified to see their baby crawling perilously close to the cliff edge.
He said: "I saw the mother and she was putting the baby down close to the edge and backing up a little bit so the other lady could get a clean photo of the baby and the Pulpit Rock in the background.
"It's a straight drop. You don't want to go too close because it's pretty scary. You'd be pretty much dead if you fall down there."
Fred told Norwegian newspapers that he'd considered getting involved, but – mercifully – the parents 'picked up the kid moments later'.
The vertigo-inducing photo has now been shared hundreds of times on Twitter.
