A new series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ kicked off with 15 familiar faces entering the house on Thursday (28 July), but as is tradition, there was a twist in store.

Christopher Biggins was named the ‘Secret Boss’ after viewers were asked to choose a housemate to be the ‘butt of the joke’ as part of BB’s latest cunning plan.

The group - which includes ‘X Factor’ star Katie Waissel, Loose Women’s Saira Khan, ‘EastEnders’ actor Ricky Norwood and 80s model Samantha Fox - were told one of them would be chosen to have special responsibilities, including having full control of nominations.

They were also informed that the identity of the person chosen would remain a secret.

However, host Emma Willis revealed that the rest of the group would be let in on the secret, unbeknown to the boss, and if they received a nomination, they would actually be immune from eviction.

During a silent disco in the garden, Biggins was told he was the Secret Boss, before Big Brother revealed his identity to the rest of the group, and instructed they must annoy the legendary entertainer in order to be nominated, therefore gaining immunity.

Biggins will be carrying out his not-so-secret mission over the coming days, with the first eviction planned for next Friday.
