Danniella Westbrook has been denied a place in the upcoming series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, as producers are concerned about her state of mind, according to reports.
MORE 'CBB':
The former ‘EastEnders’ star was previously believed to be on the verge of signing a £200,000 deal to star on the show, however new reports claim that producers have gone back on their offer.
Danniella was hoping the show could kick-start her career again
The Sun reports that the show’s team, including a psychologist, met with the actress, however her behaviour left them concerned.
“The producers were desperate to get Danniella on the show because, let’s face it, she’d make great TV,” a source tells the paper. “She was invited to meet them and alarm bells started ringing straight away. She was incredibly incoherent.”
In June, 'This Morning' viewers shared their concerns as a visibly jittery Danniella struggled to complete an interview.
Channel 5 carry out basic health tests, including mental health tests, on all potential housemates.
The most recent series hit headlines for all the wrong reasons within its opening week, when Jeremy Jackson’s behaviour became increasingly erratic.
The ‘Baywatch’ star was later removed from the house, and given a caution for common assault after groping Chloe Goodman.
The new series of ‘CBB’ has been given a trailer and start date, along with the theme ‘UK vs. USA’.
As usual, the housemates won’t be revealed until minutes before entering the Borehamwood bungalow, but celebs rumoured to be moving in include Sherrie Hewson, Janice Dickinson and Gemma Collins.
