Actress Natalie Cassidy and reality TV regular Kirk Norcross have become the latest stars to be booted out of the Celebrity Big Brother house after a surprise double eviction on Friday.
TOWIE's Norcross was the first to go but the housemates were shocked to learn that a second contestant would be packing their bags too - and it was former EastEnder Cassidy who was shown the door just an hour later after failing to win over viewers in a public vote.
The soap star had been one of the favourites to win this season of Celebrity Big Brother, but the tables turned on Cassidy on Friday as she became the fifth person to be evicted.
The actress, single mother to 16-month-old daughter Eliza, was met by huge cheers as she left the house and she admitted she was caught out by her own eviction.
She told host Brian Dowling, "I can't lie, I am shocked. However, when Kirk went, I thought, 'I'm going to go too'.
"I'd like to have made the final, I did two weeks which is two-thirds of the show. I've missed my daughter really badly. I'm not going to bulls**t about that, I didn't want to go. But it's a win-win, I get to see my daughter."
But Cassidy had hoped to beat two particular contestants: "My game was to stay after the twins, which is why I'm annoyed (to be eliminated)."
Cassidy's exit saved badboy actor Michael Madsen, who remains in the CBB house with Playboy twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon, Denise Welch, Frankie Cocozza, Gareth Thomas, Nicola McLean and Romeo Dunn. Thomas was the only housemate not up for eviction this week.
