Ofcom have confirmed that they are considering whether to investigate ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, over scenes aired in Tuesday (12 January) night’s episode.

The controversial episode saw Angie Bowie break the news of David’s death to Tiffany Pollard, after finding out off-screen. However, a mix-up left Tiffany hysterical and under the impression housemate David Gest was dead.

While some viewers aren't happy with Tiffany, others have taken aim at her fellow housemates

Now, over 200 complaints have been made to the broadcasting watchdog, concerning a number of different aspects of the incidents that took place.

More than 150 of the complaints centre on the fact Angie was shown in tears after finding out about Bowie’s death, reports state, while over 40 complaints relate to how the rest of the housemates reacted, accusing them of bullying Tiffany.

However, another 16 objected to Tiffany’s “hysterical” response to Angie, and the fact that she spent a long time insistent that she wouldn’t be apologising to the star.

The episode left plenty of viewers stunned, and many also took to Twitter to discuss the turn of events.

This isn’t the first time the current series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ has mentioned in the same breath as Ofcom, and the media regulator previously stated that it was considering whether to investigate a section of Monday’s night show.

Winston McKenzie also led many viewers to contact Ofcom following the show’s launch night, during which a VT including homophobic comments from the former boxer aired.
