'Celebrity Big Brother' bosses have allowed housemate Sam Faiers to speak with an OK magazine journalist inside the house, flouting the show's 'no contact with the outside world' rule.

The 'TOWIE' star was granted contact with a member of the publication's editorial team to work on her weekly column for the magazine, in which she spoke about her experiences inside the house.

Channel 5 confirmed to The Mirror that Sam was given permission to continue with her column before entering the Big Brother house earlier this month.

Both Channel 5 and OK magazine are owned by Richard Desmond's media empire Northern & Shell, leading to suggestions Sam is being favoured by the company.

However, it isn't the first time that celebrity housemates have been allowed contact with the outside world due to prior commitments.

Last January, Rylan Clark was allowed to leave the house to undertake rehearsals for the 'X Factor' tour, while in the summer edition of 'CBB', Mario Falcone was allowed to visit to US embassy to collect a visa for the filming of 'TOWIE' in Las Vegas.

As with Sam, both incidences were kept a secret from viewers at the time.
