The former ‘Corrie’ star follows in the footsteps of her former ’Loose Women’ co-stars Denise Welch, Carol McGiffin and Nadia Sawalha, who have all appeared on the reality show.
Denise went on to win the show in 2012, while Carol finished fourth back in 2013. Nadia appeared on the last series, often coming to blows with her fellow housemate, Katie Hopkins.
Sherrie Hewson
‘Benidorm’ star Sherrie let slip that she was heading into the house earlier this year, tweeting: “Celeb Big Brother in August!”.
A source told The Sun: “The Loose Women ladies always do really well on Celebrity Big Brother and they’re hoping that Sherrie is no exception.
“Loose Women aren’t afraid to be controversial and stand up for themselves, which always makes for good telly.
“Although Nadia didn’t have as much success as the other two panellists, her feuds with Katie brought in massive audiences.
“Sherrie has been on screens for years and is a TV favourite so she’ll attract both Corrie and Loose Women fans.”
Danniella Westbrook
Last week, cash-strapped Danniella Westbrook was thrown a lifeline by ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ producers, after being offered a reported £200,000 to enter the house.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star has suffered a run of bad luck financially, after splitting from her husband of 12 years in 2013, even being made homeless earlier this year.
If she does sign on the dotted line for the latest run of the Channel 5 reality show, she’ll reportedly be joining ‘TOWIE’ star Gemma Collins, comedian Bobby Davro,Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton, and ‘X Factor’ couple Stevi Ritchie and Chloe Jasmine.
Karen Danczuk, former model Janice Dickinson, ‘The Apprentice’ alumni James Hill and Gemma’s fellow ‘Essex’ star Dan Osborne are also rumoured to be heading into in the infamous bungalow.
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ returns to Channel 5 next month.
