Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld is facing possible legal action from a women's pressure group over comments he made about curvy women.
According to reports in theSunday Times and Mail Online, Lagerfield is accused of defamation after he said: "Nobody wants to see curvy women on the runway".
His comments were made on French chat show Le Grand 8 where he also blamed France's public health deficit on "fat people" and their illnesses.
He is facing action from Belle, Ronde, Sexy et je m'assume, meaning Beautiful, Rounded, Sexy and fine with it.
The Sunday Times reports that the group has filed a complaint with the court.
Vogue reports the group have demanded "a right to respond to and confront" Lagerfeld over the comments.
"We're fed up," Betty Aubriere, the group's president said. "Many young girls are insecure and hearing such comments is terrible for them.
"Today it's him who insults us and tomorrow who will it be?"
It's not the first time Lagerfield has said something he shouldn't have, he previously said of Adele: "She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice."
