Charlize Theron sat down with HuffPostUK this week to discuss her new film 'A Million Ways to Die in the West', where she co-stars with Seth McFarlane and Liam Neeson.
"We don't take the time to look around," says Charlize Theron
As part of our continuing Culture of Kindness, we asked this thoughtful woman - a committed campaigner for PETA, the UN, same-sex marriage, and with her own charity, the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, the fight for African youth against HIV/AIDS - what single act of kindness in a day she thought would make the biggest difference to the people she knew.
Charlize thought long and hard, before saying:
"Just to be aware. We're all so focused these days"... she motions with her eyes fixed straight ahead... "that we don't take the time to look around.
"I read recently about a man whose family were in disguise around him, and he didn't even recognise them, and that's really stayed with me.
"I think everyone on some base level, just really wants to be acknowledged."
