Charlotte Dellal has nailed summer time gloss BIG TIME. Just check out her beauty look for the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup (it's polo and, no, we don't get it either) at Cowdray Park this weekend.
Firstly, the Fifties-style curls. They're perfect because even though Dellal is outside and in Britain therefore entirely vulnerable to gale force winds, this hair will stay put.
A tornado could come and go and Dellal's hair would remain, not a hair out of place. Do you know what's not chic? Hair that blows around. It is SO hard to have a conversation when you've got half your ponytail in your mouth.
Secondly, the red lip. Oh the gloss and polish of a red lip. It's grown up, it's perfectly applied. It says that even though it's summer, a slick of lip-balm just will not do.
Lastly, the cat eye sunglasses. While everyone else is wearing aviators and oversized frames, Dellal keeps in neat and chic and if ever you needed evidence this style is the one to go for this summer, here it is.
Basically, Dellal did Hollywood-style siren for a day at the polo. Genius. Although would you expect anything less from the woman who is the head designer and founder of Charlotte Olympia? Ceratinly not.
