'Chasing The Saturdays' Axed Stateside But Christmas Special Is In The Works, Says Report

The Saturdays Axed Stateside?

The Saturdays' TV show which features the girl band trying to crack America has reportedly been axed.

Chasing The Saturdays, about the UK group's attempts to make it big across the pond, has not been renewed for a second series by E!, according to The Sun.

According to the newspaper, the girls were just too nice on the show, which didn't go down well with viewers.

A source told The Sun: "It got killed in the ratings. US fans like drama and conflict but The Saturdays actually liked each other."

Una Healy, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford and Vanessa White have apparently been in talks with executives at the channel in LA, but are said to have failed to secure a new deal because viewing figures had slumped to just 100,000.

A spokesman for The Saturdays told The Sun that the group are now in talks for a Christmas special.
