Cheryl Cole's fortune is said to be worth £16 million - but even that hasn't encouraged the singer to sign a prenuptial agreement with her new husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
The Mirror reports Mrs ColeMrs. Fernandez-Versini refused to sign a pre-nup because she simply doesn't believe in them. In fact, when she married Ashley Cole in 2006, the X Factor judge revealed she found the contracts "disgusting."
"I think that's defeating the point," Cheryl said at the time. "We're getting married because we're committing ourselves to each other to spend the rest of our lives together. No ifs and buts."
As we all know, Cheryl's plan to spend her life with the football player didn't exactly work out, but a source close to the star says she's still a romantic at heart.
"She is a canny businesswoman but in matters of love, she believes the heart should rule the head to a certain extent," a friend told the tabloid newspaper.
However, in the celebrity world, Cheryl's decision is quite unusual and many other famous couples have established pre-nups before walking down the aisle.
Recent reports suggest Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding date was postponed while an agreement was reached and Beyoncé has allegedly asked for new pre-nup clauses to be put in place after six years of marriage to Jay Z.
So, is Cheryl right to put love first? Or do relationships need to get contactual, particularly when there are large sums of money involved? Tweet us your thoughts @MyDailyUK and find out more about the latest trend in pre-nups below.
