Cheryl Cole is planning to whisk her Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding away with her on a trip to Los Angeles to help her get over her recent troubles.
Cole has been comforting the 30-year-old ever since she returned from a disastrous New Year's break with her new boyfriend, which ended in her filing a police complaint over a furious bust-up between the pair.
Harding was spotted with a bandage around her wrist on her return, but her Dutch partner, Theo De Vries, has since spoken out to insist he wasn't violent towards the star.
And now Cole is attempting to cheer up Harding, who endured a difficult 2011, which saw her split from her fiance and spend several weeks in a rehab clinic.
The former X Factor judge is reportedly planning to take her to L.A. for a sunny break to get over her troubles.
A source tells the Daily Star: "Cheryl knows all about heartache and hard times after Ashley [Cole] cheated on her. She has been in touch with Sarah and is really worried about her.
"Sarah has been in pieces and crying. So Cheryl thinks a girls’ holiday in the sun would do her the world of good. She is desperate for her to chill out."
Another of Sarah's bandmates, Nicola Roberts, has also called the star to check she is coping.
"I've spoken to her and she's back home," she said. "She's doing all right, she's OK."
It's not all over for Sarah though, as it is likely she will face charges for assault.
Sarah and her ex-boyfriend are both allegedly both facing court following their violent bust-up.
Police told The Sun: "During the course of the questioning of the man it became clear that he had also been injured.
"A report on both cases has been filed with the prosecutor and the police case is now closed."
A source added that both cases are likely to be heard in court.
