Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s charity has just given a hefty sum of money to The Prince’s Trust, to help those in her home territory of the North East of England.
Her Cheryl’s Trust foundation has donated £500,000, with the intention of building a charity centre to benefit young people in the area.
A spokesperson said in a statement: “The funds Cheryl's Trust has committed to raise as of last year are dedicated to funding a new Prince's Trust centre in Newcastle.
"We will look to support other projects in the future once we have delivered on the current commitment."
Last year, Cheryl - who was born and raised in Newcastle - blogged on HuffPost UK about why she was setting up Cheryl’s Trust, explaining she wanted to give back to the area where she grew up.
She wrote: “I saw drug and alcohol abuse, crime and poverty. I also saw how the lack of role models meant that many of my friends felt they had nowhere to turn.
