Chief Health Officer Issues New Guidelines On Screen Time For Kids
The UK’s Chief Health Officer Dame Sally Davies has issued guidelines around regulating screen time for children. The guidelines came after a recent report on how the amount of time spent on a screen, which includes playing video games, being on a computer, using a cellphone, affects children. While using the devices itself is still under review, senior health officials are meeting with social media giants like Instagram to discuss harmful content like pro-anorexia and suicidal content on their platforms.
