A children's beauty pageant organiser says British girls are not sexy enough and has told parents to encourage their daughters to 'wiggle their bums'.

American Jessica Darden said kids in the UK were 'pasty and plain' and is now planning pageants where girls will have to wear fake tan, heavy make-up, painted nails, hair extensions and glam clothes.

She told The Sun "In the US, girls strut down the catwalk and wiggle their bums.

"We aren't afraid to make them look older, and their outfits can be sexy and glamorous. The British kids all look plain and pasty. The American girls are more petite, sassy and diva-ish. Parents aren't afraid to make them look sexy."

Jessica's daughter Sofia, four, is a regular on the UK pageant scene since the Louisiana family moved to RAF Lakenheath, near Cambridge, with US Air Force husband Tony, 26, last year.

She practises routines from music videos for up to two hours a day and goes on stage wearing foundation, powder, bronzer, blusher, eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, lip liner, lipstick, fake lashes, spray tan, acrylic nails and a 'wiglet' - a mini hairpiece made from human hair.

Jessica, 24, said: "One of her most successful outfits was a tight, leather-look catsuit. She looked like a sexy little vixen prowling around the stage. She looked about 16. I loved that look."

In a video shot at the finals of Miss Natural Sparkle on September 29 last year, Sofia is seen performing some provocative moves while flicking her hair back with her hand.

She is seen sashaying suggestively down the catwalk while Catwoman, by Russian singer Anastasia Midnight, plays in the background. Jessica rubbished concerns about sexualising girls, saying: "It's all about boosting the kids' confidence. Sofia has come on by leaps and bounds."
