A photographer taking pictures of air pollution from a Chinese bridge has captured the tragic moment a person chose to leap from the railings.
The Hubei Daily snapper was working on the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge when he heard somebody shout “There is a person in the river!”, China.org reported.
When the unnamed reporter looked in the direction of the commotion he happened to capture a second person jumping over the side.

Police and emergency services attended but the couple have not been found and have been officially reported as missing, although police admit they have a low chance of surviving.
Sina.com says the couple were seen wearing black and smoking before plunging over the guardrails.
A number of items left behind at the scene included an identity card for the man, a 20-year-old with the surname Liu.
The identity of the woman is unknown.
