Christopher Samba has been charged by the Russian football association for reacting to racist abuse.

The Dynamo Moscow defender was subjected to racist chanting by Torpedo Moscow fans on Sunday and was substituted at half-time.

However, the Russian Football Union has charged Samba for making an "unpleasant gesture" to Torpedo fans. The RFU has ordered ordered Torpedo to close one stand for its next game due to their fans' behaviour.

Ivory Coast defender Dacosta Goore received a two-game suspension in Russia for a similar offence last year after raising his middle finger to fans following racist abuse.

Former Blackburn and QPR player Samba moved to Russia in 2012 when he joined Anzhi Makhachkala before moving onto Dynamo Moscow.
