Coleen Nolan broke down in tears on Tuesday, as she discussed the fall-out from Kim Woodburn’s recent ‘Loose Women’ appearance.

Last week, Coleen appeared in a segment with her former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ co-star Kim Woodburn, in a feature which was billed as the two of them attempting to bury the hatchet.

Regrettably, that’s not quite how things played out, with Kim eventually storming off the set and claiming she’d been treated unfairly.

Since then, Coleen has revealed that she’s faced frequent abuse on social media, branding the past seven days the “worst week of her life”.

Speaking to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on ‘This Morning’, Coleen said: “If I could go back and time and change the whole thing, I would. It was never meant to be like that.

“I honestly genuinely thought she was coming on to make amends, that’s what I was told was going to happen, and that we were going to have a laugh about it, and make amends. And it didn’t go that way, obviously, from the moment she came out.

“And I have to say, it was genuinely so shocking for all of us, none of us wanted that. I don’t want to see anybody in that much distress, how she was in the end. It was just one of those things… it’s been the worst week of my life, actually.”

Coleen then broke down in tears, claiming: “I don’t know what I did wrong. I didn’t say anything. I said about two things in that interview, because I know what she’s like and… she needs help, really.

“And I feel terribly sorry for her, so I’m not going to say anything - sometimes it’s hard, because I’ve never called her names or anything, and she’s called me every name under the sun, in print and on [‘Celebrity Big Brother’, and that’s fine. I can deal with that.

“But to be called a bully, and then to have messages going, ‘why can’t you die like your sister?’, ‘why can’t you get cancer like your sister?’... I’ve had a week of it!”

Towards the end of the interview, Coleen concluded: “It’s just been horrendous. And I apologise to anyone [upset by the show]... no one was more upset by that show than I was.”

She went on to say that she’d cancelled her scheduled appearances over the last week, telling her management and children: “I don’t want to do it anymore.”

Coleen first spoke about the abuse she’d received online in an interview with Metro, telling them: “What upset me were the trolls afterwards who said I had bullied her. It was really unfair for people to troll us and blame us.

“The whole experience was horrible and I couldn’t stop shaking… we were all incredible stunned. Linda Robson was shaking for the rest of the day and Janet Street-Porter was horrified.”

She added: “I had been told that Kim wanted to make amends and, even though I said she didn’t need to, her management really wanted her to come on.

“I thought she’d come on and it would be a chat, and we’d agree to put it behind us. Instead, she came out with all guns blazing. It was like she had a script and was going to stick to it.”

Since the interview aired, Kim has called for Coleen and her sister Linda Nolan to be sacked from ‘Loose Women’, claiming they “mocked” her when she began recalling the abuse she’d suffered as a child.

Coleen, meanwhile, has expressed regret over taking part in the segment at all, insisting: “I wish I could go back in time and not do it. It was ugly, upsetting and unpleasant for everyone.”

‘This Morning’ airs every weekday from 10.30am on ITV.
