PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Colin Firth has made his debut on Vanity Fair magazine's international best-dressed list.
The Oscar-winning actor has been recognised as one of the world's most stylish individuals for the first time in the 72nd annual list.
Colin - who made his name playing Mr Darcy in the 1995 BBC television adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice in which he emerged from a lake in a wet shirt - swept the board at this year's awards for his performance in The King's Speech and impressed at all the ceremonies in immaculate suits by Tom Ford, who directed him in A Single Man.
Fellow British stars Carey Mulligan and eccentric dresser Tilda Swinton both made it onto the list for the second time.
Justin Timberlake was also named among the best-dressed men for the first time, along with his Social Network co-star Armie Hammer, who wore plenty of expensive looking outfits in the Oscar-winning film playing both of the wealthy Winklevoss twins.
Lady Gaga, whose shocking outfits have included a meat dress and a cape made entirely out of Kermit the Frogs was featured in the "fashion originals" list, along with fellow popstar Janelle Monae.
