Coronation Street star Paula Lane gave birth to a baby boy on New Year's Eve.
Paula, who plays Kylie Platt on Corrie, announced on Twitter that 2014 had finished momentously for herself and husband Tom Shaw with the birth of their first child.
Paula, 28, is currently on maternity leave from the soap and her last scenes were screened on Christmas Day. She is due to return to the Street this spring.
Paula's co-star Catherine Tyldesley, who is currently expecting her first child, was amongst the first to congratulate her. She tweeted: "Massive congrats guys!!! Lots of love!! I'm cooking him a little pal as we speak ;-) xxx"
Paula broke the news of her pregnancy on Twitter back in June.
She wrote: '@SirTomShaw and I are thrilled to announce we have a Christmas pud in the oven! SURPRISE!'
