‘Coronation Street’ newbie Amy Kelly has admitted that she felt nervous filming her first kissing scenes with Brooke Vincent.
Amy joined the soap at the tail-end of last year, playing homeless character Maddie who takes a shine to Sophie Webster after they meet at a soup kitchen.
The pair later shared their first on-screen kiss after growing close, despite concerns from Sophie’s mum, Sally, though Amy has admitted filming their first kiss was intimidating to begin with.

The soap actress also admitted that she’s since got used to it, particularly as she and Brooke have spent more time together off-screen.
She added: “We had to film that one scene so many times that by the end of the day I’d got used to it.
“Now it doesn’t bother me - I get on so well with Brooke it’s not weird anymore.”

Amy later said she loves playing her ‘Corrie’ character, describing her as “fun and unpredictable”, though she did admit that she was repeatedly being asked the same questions by fans of the show.
And while Amy’s future on ‘Corrie’ is looking bright, the soap is about to lose some familiar faces as Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre), Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow) and Georgia May Foote (Katy Armstrong) are all set to wave goodbye to the cobbles by the end of the year.
