‘Coronation Street’ actress Brooke Vincent has denied that the cast are worried over the arrival of new boss Kate Oates.
Previous reports have claimed that Kate is set to shake things up and axe characters when she takes over from departing boss Stuart Blackburn, but Brooke reckons everything will be just fine.
Speaking to Digital Spy at the TRIC Awards on Tuesday (8 March), Brooke said: "We've got Kate coming in and the whole thing of, 'She's going to bring in a family and kill off this person and this person's going and who's getting the axe', but it's literally all just paper talk.
Brooke is set to take a break from the soap this Spring, but after a stint treading the boards she’ll be back on t’cobbles.
There’s been plenty of action in Weatherfield in recent weeks, and Sarah Platt’s pregnancy is set to take centre stage, when Tina O’Brien’s character fears the worst after realising she hasn’t felt the baby move.
Elsewhere, Eileen may be left regretting her actions, after puckering up to the villainous Pat Phelan.
