Coronation Street’ bosses have unveiled the first official cast photo from the soap’s new set, which sees Bill Roache and Michael Le Vell join the rest of the show’s 50-strong cast.

Both actors returned to the soap this year after being found not guilty of separate sex offences, and celebrated ‘Corrie’ moving to its new home at Manchester studio MediaCityUK with this group shot.

However, according to The Sun, Michael’s picture had to be superimposed into the photo, as it was taken back in March when he was still in rehab following his admission of cocaine use.

Bill is the longest-running ‘Coronation Street’ actor, having played Ken Barow since the soap launched in 1960, although he took a break from the soap following his court case, and is due to return in June as part of a massive storyline that will shake up the whole street.

Michelle Keegan is also present in the group shot, although her character Tina McIntyre is due to leave the soap next week in a much-publicised storyline that will see her character’s life meet a grisly end at the hand of one of Weatherfield’s residents.

Soap bosses have already confirmed the four potential murderers, who are all present in the picture.

Meanwhile soap actresses Georgia May Foote and Krissi Bohn are also featured in the group shot, although it was recently reported that both of their characters were being written out of the soap.
