As the upcoming series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ draws nearer, the rumour mill is going into overdrive with a whole slew of names suggested as potential housemates, and new reports have hinted that ‘Coronation Street’ actor Michael Le Vell could be one of them.
According to the Daily Star, the soap star - who plays mechanic Kevin Webster - is hoping to show viewers that he is a ‘new man’ after leaving rehab earlier this year, and is believed to be in “advanced talks” to appear on the reality series, which kicks off later this summer.

Michael was cleared of child sex offences earlier this year, but admitted in an interview after being found not guilty that the ordeal of his trial had pushed him to try cocaine, which led him to take some time out from ‘Corrie’ to enter a rehab facility.
Meanwhile, his co-star Bill Roache - who has played Ken Barlow in the soap since its first episode in 1960 - had been cleared of similar charges a month earlier, with a source claiming that ‘CBB’ producers had hoped they could have roped him in for the next series too, though it’s reported he turned them down flat.
A source told the Daily Star: “They wanted a double-whammy of Le Vell and Roache. Bill was their main target but Le Vell is now a man transformed.”
If we do see Michael in the ‘CBB’ house he won’t be the first ‘Corrie’ star to make an impression on the Channel 5 series as last summer Bruce Jones and Vicky Entwistle - who played Les and Janice Battersby - caused a stir with their antics.
Both Michael Le Vell and Bill Roache will be returning to the cobbles after some time away later this year.
