‘Coronation Street’ actor Marc Baylis has admitted he’s prepared for a backlash from fans after his character Rob Donovan was revealed as Tina McIntyre’s killer.
In Tuesday night’s dramatic episode, Rob was arguing with Michelle Keegan's character Tina, when he pushed her off the scaffolding.

After Rob shoved Tina she was seen plummeting towards the cobbles, a fall which will lead to the character’s death.
Marc has now admitted he’s a little bit worried about the reaction from ‘Corrie’ fans, joking to The Sun: “I think I will swim into work across the canal so no one can see me!
“I will just have to take all the flack - and all the eggs - on the chin. Or I will have to find new techniques to hide away.”
Viewers have been speculating for months over which Weatherfield resident would be behind Tina’s death, after it was revealed back in October that her character would be killed off in a dramatic storyline.
Last week ‘Corrie’ producers named four potential suspects in the murder, though the killer’s identity was kept under wraps until the last minute.
Marc has admitted he’s relieved to not have to keep it a secret anymore, adding: “We had been talking about the storyline since October. It has been a lot of hard work keeping my lips tightly sealed.”
As the storyline unfolds, viewers will see Peter Barlow - played by Chris Gascoyne - questioned by police in connection with Tina’s death, which Marc says will have a negative effect on Rob psychologically.
He explained: “We see how he deals with it psychologically. There is a lot of good stuff and a lot of good twists.
“There are a lot of twists afterwards. It pulls him closer to his roots. Rob becomes slightly more family-orientated. It is not just, ‘He is a killer now’.”
Michelle has admitted that at first she “went into shock” after discovering that her character was being killed off.
