Coronation Street actress Samia Ghadie is expecting her first baby with boyfriend Sylvain Longchambon.
The 32-year-old star revealed her joy to her 340,000 followers onTwitter.
Samia, who already has a daughter with ex-husband Matthew Smith tweeted: "Me and @slongchambon have some very happy news to share. We are having a baby!! Freya can't wait to be a big sister later this year!"
After being congratulated by well-wishers, Samia added:
The mum is a Coronation Street veteran and has been playing Maria Connor for the past 14 years.
She met her French boyfriend Sylvain after a stint on Dancing on Ice in 2013, where the pair were partners.
Samia's co-stars, including Catherine Tyldesley, who recently welcomed a baby of her own, were quick to respond with congratulatory messages.
Catherine wrote: "So thrilled for you guys!!! What a baby boom!!! J Awesome news!!! Love me @TP_PTfitness and Alfie xxx."
And former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan - who is expecting her own baby - added:
The couple's pairing on Dancing On Ice two years ago sparked controversy, when Sylvain dumped his girlfriend at the time, actress Jennifer Metcalfe, soon after meeting Samia.
During the competition, Samia gushed in an interview with the Sunday Mirror's Celebs magazine: "Sylvain is brilliant. He is so kind, patient and thoughtful.
"I can see how you'd end up in a relationship with your partner. You get to know each other intensely and there is a lot of trust.
"They ask you what you want in a partner and I said, someone nice, someone strong, someone patient and someone with a good sense of humour, and he's got all that."
