‘Coronation Street’ could be welcoming back some familiar faces, thanks to new producer Kate Oates.
Kate announced she would be taking over on the soap earlier this year, and she’s now hinted at what’s to come in Weatherfield, revealing that she’s considering which characters could make a comeback.
Speaking to the Daily Star, she explained: "I've been tossing around a few ideas in my head about who will be back.
While Kate hasn’t revealed who she’s thinking of bringing back, reports claim that fan favourites such as Curly Watts, played by Kevin Kennedy, and Julie Goodyear’s character Bet Lynch are on the shortlist.
At present on t'cobbles, there’s plenty of drama to keep viewers entertained, and we recently saw Sarah Platt welcome her baby boy five weeks early.
Actress Brooke Vincent recently addressed reports that a huge shake-up is about to take place, denying claims that the cast are worried about whether their characters will remain in the soap.
She said: “We’ve got Kate coming in and the whole thing of, ‘She’s going to bring in a family and kill off this person and this person’s going and who’s getting the axe’, but it’s literally all just paper talk.”
