‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers: Here’s Who’ll To Die In ‘Saddest Scenes Ever’ (But It’s A Bit Underwhelming)

Earlier this week, ‘Coronation Street’ star Samia Ghadie teased that she’d been busy filming the “saddest scenes ever”, promising fans that an emotional exit was upcoming for a “well-loved member of the cast”.

Well, the identity if the departing character has reportedly now been revealed, and we’re sorry, but the truth is a little underwhelming, as it’s reportedly her character Maria’s pet dog, Ozzy.

We’ll obviously wait to see how things play out, but we were expecting something a little bigger, to be honest. Not to be morbid, but it seemed as though the death of a (human) Weatherfield favourite was on the cards.

It has to be said that Ozzy has been pretty important to Maria, though, as he used to belong her husband Liam, who was killed in 2008.

A source explains to The Sun: “It’s utterly devastating for Maria – and viewers.

“Ozzy has been by her side since 2007 when her then-husband Liam gave him to her as a present.

“When Liam was killed in a hit-and-run it was Ozzy who was her main source of comfort.

“His absence couldn’t come at a worse time with heartache already on the horizon now she’s tangled up in a love triangle with Aidan Connor and his girlfriend Eva Price.”

There’s no shortage of drama for ‘Corrie’ fans this summer, as a number of storylines, including Maria’s affair with Aidan, are already in full swing.

Elsewhere on t’cobbles, Steve McDonald is in quite the pickle, after impregnating two women, while David Platt is on a quest for revenge, following the murder of his wife Kylie Platt.
