American company Sprinkles has launched a cupcake vending machine to make the sweet treat available on-demand 24-hours a day. Unfortunately you won't find one in the UK.

Beverly Hills-based Sprinkles installed its very first ATM machine in 2012 and has since expanded across the States with five more vending machines, including Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Chicago.

For $3.50 (about £2) and you can pick your flavour on the ATM's snazzy touch screen and your snack will be dispensed on the spot. But before you worry about supplies failing to meet demand, a single machine has the capacity to disperse over a 1,000 cupcakes a day. Wow.

But cupcakes isn't all the machine - which is attached to a Sprinkles bakery - can do. Oh no, it does cookies too.

Delivered to the customer via a mechanical arm and produced in a candy floss pink colour this invention wouldn't look out of place in Malibu Barbie's beach house.

While you can only stumble across the Sprinkles ATM in America, rumour has it the company is thinking about installing a vending machine in London.

And that's great news because we're aching to try the chocolate marshmallow, peanut butter chip and cinnamon sugar... All at once.
