When a father caught his 10-year-old daughter pretending to be teenager, he devised a special punishment that would force her to act her age.
Kevin Jones, from Kentucky, US, discovered that his daughter had broken his 'house rules' by setting up several social media accounts which listed her age as being between 14 and 18.
He also learnt that she'd started going out with a boyfriend - which was also against his 'house rules'.
Rather than grounding his daughter until she reached the age of 14, Kevin decided that a fitting punishment would be to make her wear an 'age defining shirt', printed with the slogan 'I am 10 years old'.
And he didn't stop there - Kevin clearly has a sartorial flare as he decided to complete the ensemble with pink hair clips, neon pink trainers and a Princess Sofia backpack.
To add to his daughter's embarrassment (and perhaps to discourage her from going on social media) Kevin shared photos of her looking less than happy in her special outfit on his Facebook page.
Below the photo he writes:
"Since my beautiful daughter... wants to be grown and lie about her age. Saying she is 14,15,16, and 18 years old. She claims to be in love and going out with a boyfriend which is completely against my rules!!!!
"I uncovered that she has been doing this for quite some time. She also has snuck and obtained social media accounts, also against my rules!!!! Here's the consequences behind her actions. An age defining shirt. Yes people she is 5'9 and 10 years old."
More than a quarter of a million people have liked Kevin's Facebook photos, but some commenters have voiced concern that his daughter might be bullied at school because of his embarrassing actions.
What do you think? A punishment that fits the crime? Or did he go too far?
