We are loving this dad's note to his gay son, which has now taken the internet by storm.
Overhearing his son's phone conversation and concerns about revealing his sexuality to his parents, the dad preempted him with a note of such unconditional love and tenderness.
In the letter, he tells his son: "I've known you were gay since you were six. I've loved you since you were born."
He ends with a sweet PS: "Mom and I think you and Mike make a cute couple."
The letter appeared on the Facebook page of an anti-homophobia organisation, FCKH8.com, on Friday and has already been liked by over 82,000 people and shared nearly 50,000 times.
People posted comments about the letter, saying it "brought tears to my eyes" and "if only all parents were so loving".
FCKH8.com founder Luke Montgomery said the letter was emailed to them by Nate, a high school student in Michigan.
He said he burst into tears when he read the message: "It's what I want. It's what everyone wants.
"It's actually sad so many people are excited about it. And what I think that says is, one, it's rare, and that's really bad. And two, people are really craving this kind of reaction."
