Brian McFadden has become the latest Dancing On Ice star to suffer a painful injury.
The former Westlife singer has hurt his back while rehearsing for this week’s live show, which has cast doubt on whether he’ll be able to skate on Sunday night.
The Sun claimed that training for his upcoming performance has made the injury worse, and speculated as to whether he will take to the ice this weekend.
A spokesperson for the show would not be drawn on rumours Brian could be benched, but did say: “Brian has a bad back and is currently being monitored by our show physio.”
Brian previously dislocated his shoulder during training earlier in the series, but still went on to perform that weekend.
His fellow competitor Ryan Sidebottom was previously given a bye to the next week of the competition, after a Grade I adductor strain left him unable to perform.
The number of injuries and accidents are racking up on the series, with last weekend seeing Jane Danson faint in rehearsals.
Saara Aalto smashed her head on the ice just minutes before she was due to perform on Sunday, while Melody Thornton also needed to visit a chiropractor after she also fell on the ice.
Then there’s Gemma Collins, who still had bruising to her legs in the most recent live show after a horror fall a week earlier.
Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
