Dannii Minogue's Guilty Pleasure: Beyonce

Dannii Minogue's Guilty Pleasure: Beyonce

I think everybody has a different guilty pleasure when it comes to music. At one photo shoot recently the photographer was really embarrassed about putting on his own music saying that everyone always bags him for it. It turned out that he loved 80s tunes so I was totally down with his playlist.

At another shoot later that week for Fibre Lash the music started out with Beyonce and I was in girly heaven, shaking my booty and totally getting into the ModelCo vibe. Then all of a sudden it switched to heavy rock music.

It's always the photographer's assistants who pick the tunes and I had to say to the crew: "Hello? It's not about your guilty pleasure music! I'm the one making the moves up here so if the music doesn't scream lip gloss and high heels, I don't want to hear it!" It was a musical stand-off!

Everybody has their guilty pleasure music and sometimes it depends what you're doing as to which music suits the mood.

When I'm doing a photo shoot, it's all about Beyonce – Crazy In Love and Put A Ring On It. I can't wait to update my playlist with some new girly heaven tunes from her latest album '4'.

When I'm cleaning the house I have Madonna's Immaculate Collection on at full blast. There's nothing like a spot of: 'Get into the groove boy you've got to prove your love to me,' when I'm doing the vacuuming and dusting.

And, when I'm working out and need to get fired up, I'm actually not averse to a spot of rock myself. My favourites are Aussie rockers AC/DC, Cold Chisel and Jimmy Barnes. If I was ever going to give you an Aussie music guilty pleasure tip it would be to get your hands on some Cold Chisel tracks. Khe Sanh, Cheap Wine and Saturday Night are classics and part of the soundtrack to my teenaged years. The lyrics and the melodies are just beyond perfection.

For the photo shoots for My Style, my manager Nathan put together a special playlist. Here are some of the highlights:

This Time I Know It's For Real – Donna Summer

Express Yourself – Madonna

Put Your Hands Up (Pete Hammond Remix) - Kylie Minogue

Straight Up – Paula Abdul

Baby – Justin Beiber

Say You'll Be There – Spice Girls

Miami Hit Mix – Gloria Estefan

I Owe You Nothing – Bros

Just Haven't Met You Yet (Cutmore Club Mix) - Michael Buble
