The former ballet dancer has had numerous operations to treat various health issues caused by years of dancing.

Darcey explains to the Telegraph: “I had the resurfacing because I was too young to have a replacement.
“A lot of retired ballerinas have [hip replacements] but they usually wait until they are in their 60s, not 40s. I just think, look, how lucky are we that we can have titanium put in our bodies and it do wonders."
“If I don’t I’ll have a hundred times more injuries because you get weak areas on your body.
“Looking after myself is something I probably have to be much more conscious of than the average person.
Darcey’s op came 20 years after she was told that her hips were 50% as strong as they should be, due to her grueling dance schedule.
Since joining the ‘Strictly’ panel in 20112, Darcey’s become a huge hit with fans, and she’s currently sandwiched in between Craig Revel-Horwood and Len Goodman, as they evaluate the celebrities’ efforts.
So far this year, there have been a number of standout performances, including Jay McGuiness’s movie week efforts, and Katie Derham’s Viennese Waltz.
