PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Darren Aronofsky is seeking an actor to star as Noah in his new film Noah's Ark.
The Black Swan director - currently in Venice where he is president of this year's film festival jury - revealed to the Daily Mail he plans to make a film about the biblical story, with no modern or sci-fi twist.
Aronofsky said: "It's the animals, the ark, the floods and Noah with his long beard."
The Wrestler director revealed he is seeking an actor of around 35 to play the hero of the film, who saves all the world's creatures from the flood.
Darren wants to tell the classic tale as a fantasy epic and create his own world on the big screen.
