After being left out of the GB football team, David Beckham could have been forgiven for deciding to nurse a bruised ego at home in LA.
Instead David has embraced the role of super keen spectator with gusto. After he powered into London 2012 opening ceremony in a speedboat, David has been spotted enjoying the events to the full and bonding with his boys - as our pictures clearly show.
On the final day of the track and field competition, local boy David took his sons Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, nine, and Cruz, seven, to the Olympic Park in Stratford to immerse themselves in the fun.
First of all they cheered on Mo Farah to his second gold in the men's 5000m race. Beckham Snr was so rapturous he jumped up, throwing his arms wide as the long distance runner crossed the line. Showing he's a chip off the Beckham block, oldest son Brooklyn threw the exact same excited body pose from their viewpoint behind London mayor Boris Johnson and Liberal Democrat MP Sir Menzies Campbell.
But that wasn't enough excitement for the day. Immediately afterwards the Beckham boys headed over to the Aquatics Centre to see Tom Daley compete for a medal in the high diving.
Again they were ecstatic as they watched the 18-year-old from Plymouth win bronze after showing off an impressive display.

Hands-on dad David was seen kissing his boys, ruffling their hair and high fiving them throughout the afternoon.

We bet David and the boys will have ringside seats this evening too for the Olympics closing ceremony - when mum Victoria Beckham takes centre stage in a reunion with the Spice Girls.
Posh Spice and co have been photographed rehearsing together on black London cabs in what's been billed as a musical extravaganza celebrating UK music. We can't wait.
