The showbiz world turned out to say an emotional goodbye to David Gest on Friday (29 April), as his funeral took place.
The likes of Denise Welch, Kerry Katona, Kym Marsh and Dean Gaffney were all present at Golders Green crematorium, as they celebrated the life of the music producer and reality TV star.
Some of his former 'Celebrity Big Brother' housemates including Kristina Rhianoff, Darren Day, Stephanie Davis, Jeremy McConnell and Gemma Collins were also in attendance.
One funeral goer told HuffPost UK that it was a beautiful service, which began with his coffin being carried in to a gospel choir singing a version of 'Here Come The Girls', entitled 'Here Comes The Gesty'.
There were also messaged from some of his showbiz friends who could not make it, including Tito Jackson and Dionne Warwick.
Following the service, David's ashes are expected to be taken to York, where he had been living since 2013 until his death earlier this month.
David was found dead in his suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in London in 12 April, aged 62.
The cause of his death currently remains unclear, with the results of a post-mortem yet to be made public.
Before his death, David was about to embark on a UK tour, titled ‘David Gest Is Not Dead But Alive With Soul’ - a reference to the now infamous ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ mix-up, which saw Tiffany Pollard confuse Gest with Angie Bowie’s ex-husband, David during the last series in January.
David won himself thousands of new fans on the show, but was forced to quit the Channel 5 reality show due to serious ill-health.
The US-born star was a good friend of Michael Jackson, and married Liza Minelli in 2002. The couple parted ways just over a year later, in October 2003.
In 2006, he appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!’, finishing fourth in the series, forming a close friendship with eventual winner Matt Willis.
