'Death In Paradise' To Come To London For New Series In 2017

DI Humphrey Goodman will be back on home turf.

‘Death In Paradise’ will return for a sixth series next year, when viewers will notice a big change to the usual set up... all those used to seeing DI Humphrey Goodman struggle with the unfamiliar ways and customs of fictional Caribbean island Saint Marie will see him in far more familiar territory.

The new series of ’Death In Paradise’ will feature two episodes set far away from the tropical sands we’re used to - with both featuring scenes set and filmed in London.

In an unprecedented two-part special, the Honoré Police team will head to London for the first time to solve one of the island’s most complex murder cases - which means Humphrey will be on his home turf, while his colleagues have to struggle for once.

The new series will feature all the familiar faces - Joining  Kris Marshall as Humphrey is Danny John-Jules as Dwayne, Don Warrington as Commissioner Paterson, Josephine Jobert as Florence and Tobi Bakare as JP.

And it seems romance is bubbling for Humphrey with the return of ‘Not Going Out’ star Sally Bretton as his prospective love interest Martha Lloyd, a lady we caught a glimpse of in the finale of Series 5, something to bring a smile to Humphrey's face after his heartbreak over his broken marriage.

Fans are used to seeing familiar faces in guest roles in the series, and this time’s no different. Among those joining the cast for 2017 will be Ardal O’Hanlon, Douglas Hodge and W1A’s Monica Dolan.

The new series will be aired in the new year. Tap the first picture below to open the slideshow:
