Kate Middleton will be waving goodbye to one-year-old son George and hubby Prince William and heading off on her first solo Royal Tour next month. And Kensington Palace have just revealed her itinerary.

She'll be flying to Malta to celebrate the former British colony's 50th anniversary of independence on a two-day tour.

So what will the Duchess be doing? Her jam-packed schedule will start when she flies out on 20 September. She'll be staying at the San Anton Palace, the official residence of Malta's president, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca. The same place the Queen stayed back in 2007.

On her first day, Kate will have a meet and greet with the Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and his wife at his office in the the Auberge de Castille, before heading to a series of military-themed presentations.

And next up she'll visit the National Library to be shown a number of historical documents. And to finish up her first hectic day, Kate will be the guest of honour during the Independence Day Celebrations at the Upper Barrakka Gardens, near Grand Harbour.

And it's full steam ahead into sunday, as K-Mid will attend Independence Day services at St. John's Cathedral and later view two of Caravaggio's most famous works at the Cathedral Museum. Kate will also meet with both workers and kids who use services at the government's Agency for Youth.

Then it's off on a walk through Vittoriosa Square to get to the Church of St Lawrence to view (more) Maltese art. Then there's a boat tour via the Grand Harbour lined up and finally, she'll wrap things up with an appearance at the British High Commissioner's Garden Party at their official residence.

We're exhausted just thinking about it, but no doubt Kate will maintain her cheery persona throughout.

The main question though is what the mum of one will pack, given there's so many dressy ocassions and so little time. Perhaps her last Royal Tour wardrobe will offer some clues...
