The cure (and cause) for hair loss has been an elusive one, but could a simple change in your diet help?
While eating extra carrots, spinach or broccoli won't yield the same results as a hair transplant, it will help to promote healthy growth.
Topping up on protein rich foods (such as eggs) and those rich in omega fatty acids (walnuts, flax seeds and kale) will encourage proper growth, while sweet potatoes and broccoli, which contain high levels of vitamins E and C will keep hair supple and shiny.
Hair loss expert and founder of Spexhair.com, Spencer Stevenson, says nutrients are key to aid that full head of hair.
"Just like skin, the condition of your hair is an outward sign of inside health. The cells that make up each strand of hair require a regular supply of key nutrients."
He also suggests adding zinc (which can be found in chickpeas, oysters and beef) to your diet: "Boosting tissue growth and repair, zinc helps keep your scalp and hair stay healthy.
It also regulates hormones (testosterone included) in the body and helps maintain production of oil-secreting glands on the scalp that help your hair grow."
