Legendary country singer Dolly Parton has offered to adopt a dog which was found alone in a tent after being abandoned by its owner at Glastonbury.
The white lurcher - which has been named Dolly after the 68-year-old - was discovered during the clean up of Worthy Farm and taken in by the nearby Happy Landings shelter.
Upon finding out about her namesake abandoned canine, the country singer was quick to intervene and even offered to adopt Dolly the dog is no one came forward to claim her.
"I had my manager call the Happy Landings animal shelter to make sure the dog is being cared for properly," she said.

"At this time the dog is in great hands at the shelter. I will take the dog home to America if nobody claims her."
She confessed she was "very honoured and flattered" the dog had been named after her.
In a message on its website, Happy Landings said Dolly the dog is a "sweet-natured older lady" who arrived with a "serious ear infection".
The shelter also said it had received numerous phone calls from people worried about the dog, after her story came out.
