" I always feel that there's enough for free online that I don't necessarily have to pay to be part of a members club" - unknown
I'm running a survey to gain more insight on what entrepreneurs really want interms of an online membership site.
The response above really stood out to me. This is the belief that there is so much free stuff out there that one really doesn't need to pay for any more information.
It couldn't be further from the truth.
I say this for these reasons:
1. Yes, there is a lot of information floating all over the internet because everybody has an opinion about how to run business - sometimes even without having done it themselves. Its common sense isn't it. So if the information is so easily accessible and such common sense why is everybody not using it to great results?
I'll tell you why.
There is still a lot of information that isn't available freely online.
No matter what people put on their websites, special reports, newsletter or books, there is always the vital 20% or even 10% information that you'd never get until you were in their inner circle. These are not secrets. These will typically just be learning and intelligence gathered that is of a personal nature that they will only share with people they know and trust.
2.Sometimes the information online is simply not accurate and doesn't give the full picture. So you need to be careful who you are listening to.
3. Despite all the fantastic advice online, the best entrepreneurs and their companies still seek for and pay top dollar for personalised expertise. They are the ones I'd model.
4. As you may have realised, knowing what to do isn't always enough. Acting on the information we know is what growth is all about. Whats your track record with implementation?
Don't be fooled by the free information on the internet. There a lot more that isn't on it!
Make the mental shift and start using both paid and free expertise because honestly you do get what you pay for.
