Drake Drops Michael Jackson Collaboration From Tour Setlist, After Leaving Neverland Airs

There was one noticeable omission from the setlist at his Manchester concert.

Drake has dropped a Michael Jackson collaboration from the setlist of his current UK tour.

Last year, Drake unveiled the posthumous Michael Jackson duet Don’t Matter To Me, created using unreleased vocals the singer recorded in 1983, with the song reaching number two in the UK singles chart.

The track was performed on the rapper’s 2018 Aubrey & The Three Migos Live! tour, but was noticeably absent from the first date of his Assassination Vacation tour, which kicked off in Manchester on Sunday night.

As reported by Stadium Help, the setlist for the Assassination Vacation tour was virtually identical to his previous jaunt’s, apart from the missing Michael Jackson collaboration.

Drake’s representatives declined to comment when contacted by HuffPost UK.

The rapper kicked off his Assassination Vacation tour in the UK, in support of his latest album Scorpion, just days after Channel 4 aired the two-part documentary Leaving Neverland.

The four-hour documentary detailed two men’s graphic accounts of alleged sexual abuse at the hands of Michael Jackson when they were children.

Leaving Neverland has been blasted by the Jackson estate, who previously urged Channel 4 to rethink their plans to screen it, vehemently denying all allegations against the late singer.

In a letter to the Associated Press, they wrote: “I think we can all agree that the false allegations being made in your ‘documentary’ are ‘significant allegations’. It is hard to imagine more significant accusations that can possibly be made against anyone.”

Nevertheless, the channel stood by their decision, airing Leaving Neverland across two nights last Wednesday and Thursday.
