A Dutch politician had a lucky escape when a lamp fell from the ceiling in a parliament chamber, narrowly missing her.
Edith Schippers had been leading a debate about health care reforms when the accident happened and the lamp came crashing down from the ceiling.
As this video shows, the light fitting landed on the desk right in front of her and left the Health Minister visibly distraught.
While the video doesn't actually capture the falling lamp, it does show the reaction of Labour MP, Jetta Klijnsma, who gasped and then held her hand to her mouth.
It also shows the smashed glass fitting on Schippers' desk as the debate was temporarily halted while staff cleared up the mess and she composed herself.
A parliament spokesman said it's not known what caused the lamp to fall.
