Look Who's Heading To Albert Square...

Matt Willis, who shot to fame as one third of pop act Busted in the nineties, is to join 'EastEnders'.

The 30-year-old, who was also crowned King of the Jungle after winning the 2006 series of 'I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!', will play Stacey Branning's boyfriend, Luke.

Speaking about his new role, Matt said: "I am so thrilled to be a part of such an iconic show. ‘I grew up watching EastEnders so this is really exciting for me."

Luke is described as a young and ambitious city worker who works hard to secure a life for him and his family - and is devoted to Stacey (Lacey Turner), but the relationship soon hits rocky ground.

Executive Producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: ‘It will be a real treat for viewers to watch him and Lacey together on screen as part of her return to the Square.

"Luke gives as good as he gets, so is a great foil to Stacey. Pity she’s been lying to him since the day she met him…’

Matt has yet to start filming but it is thought his role will only be short term as Matt will be heading out on tour with McBusted next year – a new line up featuring Busted and McFly.
