'EastEnders' Spoiler: Phil Turns Violent

EastEnders’ viewers are in for some shocking scenes on Wednesday night’s episode when Phil Mitchell (Steve MacFadden) turns violent on an intruder at Sharon's new bar, The Albert.

After revealing to Shirley (Linda Henry) that he was in fact, behind the break-in, Phil is looking for revenge after his old flame Sharon (Letitia Dean) gets hurt, despite his wishes.

Phil takes matters into his own hands and lays into one of the intruders just as Shirley turns up and is shocked to see what’s going on - but will she be able to stop him before things go too far?

Shirley arrives on the scene

It seems Shirley is constantly around violence these days. Last month she was in the Queen Vic when her brother Mick (Danny Dyer) punched her estranged son, Deano (Matt DiAngelo) after he humiliated her in front of her friends in the pub.

Following the incident, Shirley sought comfort in Phil, who looked after her when he discovered her drunk and wandering the streets.

The jury is still out on whether any more reality TV stars will suddenly turn up in the background of the action, after ‘Big Brother’ housemate Winston Showan appeared as an extra in an episode of the soap earlier this week.

Watch the drama unfold between Phil and Shirley in ‘EastEnders’, Wednesday 18 June on BBC One.
