This is such an awful story: a little boy of eight was allegedly told he was 'dirty', and that he 'smelled' and had 'bad hygiene' by school staff who forced him to STRIP and shower in front of them.

Worse still, he was then reportedly 'violently' washed and ridiculed by the two school employees.

The little boy - who is in the third grade at Peaster Elementary School in Texas - is said to have been removed from class and taken to the school nurse's office last November, where he was ordered to remove his clothes, and then forcibly washed. His outraged parents have now launched a lawsuit again two members of staff at the school.

The Courthouse News Service said the two school officials "began violently washing his body with a washcloth, scrubbing him over a large portion of his body, stuck cotton balls in his ears, all while ridiculing and harassing him about being 'dirty,'".

The boy's parents, Amber and Michael Tilley, said they lodged a police report over the incident but no charges were laid, prompting them to begin a lawsuit against the school and its employees Julie West and Debbie Van Rite.

Furious Amber told NBC Dallas-Fort Worth: "It's terrible, and we don't want anything like that to happen to any other children."

The lawsuit cites that the little boy was left "visibly and severely distraught," and had to see a therapist after.

His mum added: "He just kept on and on, wanting to take baths, you know, he just felt so disgusting."

She further stated that her son did not have a problem with body odour or cleanliness.

This sounds terrible. What an intrusive and humiliating experience for this child.

Surely if the school had issues with his hygiene they should have contacted his parents first?
